Lawrence Matthews discovers 22 love letters from a pregnant woman in a secret compartment of his deceased father’s writing bureau. He resolves to give the woman peace of mind by returning them and telling her what a poor father the man she loved became. Lawrence did not expect to meet her attractive daughter Catherine, who is keen to learn more about her real father. He should be honest and admit the bureau was not an auction purchase, but that would mean confessing he is her half-brother.
Lawrence’s heart and conscience are torn by this impossible dilemma. He’ll tell the woman he loves the truth. Won’t he?
